On November 19, President Christopher L. Eisgruber emailed all staff about the nomination process for the 2020 President’s Achievement Award.
On behalf of the Selection Committee, I warmly encourage you to participate in the nomination process for the 2020 President’s Achievement Award.
Established in 1997, this award typically recognizes five members of Princeton’s support and administrative staffs whose exceptional dedication has contributed significantly to the success of their departments and the University as a whole. Consisting of a monetary prize and framed certificate, it is the highest honor bestowed on staff members and a distinction for their departments.
I hope the Selection Committee will receive not only a large number of nominations this year but also one that fully reflects the diversity of our staff, whose multiplicity of talents and perspectives is one of Princeton’s greatest strengths. I ask you to consider individuals from all backgrounds, as well as roles and levels, in submitting your recommendations and nominations.
Any employee can recommend a colleague, in either one’s own department or another, for an award by contacting this individual’s manager. Nominations should be submitted by the nominee’s current administrative office head or academic department manager, with an endorsement from the appropriate administrative officer or academic dean, chair, or director. Nominations will be accepted from now through January 29, 2021, and award recipients will be honored at a virtual celebration in the spring.
The Selection Committee has established a set of criteria that reflect the broad range of occupations at Princeton. Nominations must incorporate three of five possible characteristics that most effectively illustrate why the nominee merits consideration.
