Employee Resource Groups Issue Joint Statement on Racial Equity & Inclusion

Oct. 26, 2020

Princeton’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are employee-led organizations comprised of administrative professionals who come together based on shared interests, experiences, and/or identities.

The ERGs work to create a more inclusive environment and sense of belonging for employees within the University and have issued a joint statement in support of racial equity and inclusion:

The members of Princeton’s 12 ERGs pledge our continued commitment to creating a nurturing community for all. We unequivocally condemn all forms of racial inequity as a humanitarian crisis that has failed to be eradicated for far too long. We affirm the value of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color’s lives. We commit to taking bold and deliberate action toward greater racial equity, and are determined to hold ourselves and others accountable to real progress.

We recognize that we play a specific role in bringing awareness to the campus community of our experiences and to serve as a forum for pursuing solutions to uphold diversity, equity, and inclusion within our community.

Membership and participation in all ERGs are open to all employees, regardless of identity. If you are interested in joining an ERG, sign up through this webform.

As of May 2021, the Chinese Faculty, Scholar and Staff Association of Princeton University is no longer an active ERG.
