Improvement to Paid Family Leave

Effective January 1, 2022, paid family leave for bonding with a newborn, newly adopted child, or newly placed foster child will increase from two weeks to eight weeks. This increased benefit applies to births, adoptions, and foster-placement effective on or after January 1, 2022.

All other family leaves remain at two weeks.

Employees can only take a maximum of eight weeks of paid family leave in a 12-month period.
