Pediatric Pfizer Vaccination Clinics

Nov. 8, 2021

Following authorization from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last week and the State of New Jersey on November 3 of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for children 5 to 11 years old, Princeton University will host Pfizer clinics to administer the vaccine to children in this age group.

As you make plans to visit the Pfizer clinic for boosters or pediatric vaccinations, please consider the following guidance:

  • Appointments are strongly recommended as walk-in capacity will be limited.
  • There may be long wait times, including the potential of some waiting outdoors in the elements, and people with appointments will be given priority.
  • Due to the setting, UHS recommends that the Jadwin clinic is best for children 8 years and older. While children younger than 8 are allowed to be vaccinated at the clinic, parents should contact their pediatrician about the availability of the vaccine in the pediatric office setting.
  • Parking remains challenging and is not available in the immediate area of Jadwin gym.
  • Note: The Moderna clinics on Thursdays from noon – 3:00 p.m. will not be administering vaccinations to children under 18 years of age.
