Resumption of Work Schedules on February 1, 2022

Jan. 26, 2022

On January 26, Vice President for Human Resources Lianne Sullivan-Crowley emailed all employees the following message:

I want to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who has worked so hard to support the start of the Spring semester. Some of you stayed on campus through the holidays and Wintersession; others worked remotely these last few weeks to relieve the strain on the asymptomatic testing program as students returned to campus. Now that the students are back, we can once again accommodate all staff in the asymptomatic testing program.

I write to you today to confirm that staff who have worked remotely during the month of January should return to their previous work schedules on campus starting Tuesday, February 1, as planned.

All staff, including those who are returning from working remotely, should use the following normal testing schedule. If you are returning to campus on February 1 and your last name starts with A–E, please test Tuesday.

  • Monday: Last names A – E
  • Tuesday: Last names F – K
  • Wednesday: Last names L – R
  • Thursday: Last names S – Z

Finally, the deadline for all University faculty, researchers, staff, and students to receive a COVID booster shot is approaching rapidly. Everyone is required to receive a booster and upload proof to VacStatus by Monday, January 31 (or 30 days after they become eligible).

If you have not yet received a booster, the University is hosting clinics on Friday, January 28 and Monday, January 31. Appointments are available and walk-ins are welcome. Visit the COVID Resources site for clinic times and locations, as well as information about when you are eligible for a booster.

Wishing you a wonderful semester ahead!
