This is the time of year when staff and their managers should review and/or update departmental procedures for essential services needed during emergencies or other conditions.
As a residential community, the University is open 24 hours a day. Essential services employees perform jobs that are necessary and required to maintain basic University operations during scheduled closures or unscheduled suspension of normal operations due to emergencies, events, or other situations.
The University will communicate delayed openings, early dismissals, or full closures through the TigerAlert notification system and the weather emergency hotline at (609) 258-SNOW (7669). Employees should keep their personal information up-to-date in HR Self Service, including cell phone numbers, home phones, and personal e-mail addresses.
