Payment & Audit

Once the appropriate office receives and approves the application form, a payment amount for the full period will be provided in the next available paycheck. Due to payroll cycles, forms submitted after the tenth of any month will likely appear in the following month’s pay.

While no documentation is required when submitting the application for benefit, Princeton University will randomly audit applications. If an employee is selected for audit, the individual must provide documentation substantiating the reported family income and proof of use of funds for any of the intended purposes described above. Any false information discovered requires repayment of the benefit and other possible consequences up to and including termination of employment with Princeton University.

This is a temporary benefit. The University reserves the right to amend or terminate this extension program at any time.

If there are any discrepancies between the information in this publication, verbal representations, and the plan documents, the plan documents always govern. Although Princeton intends to continue these benefits, the University reserves the right to amend or terminate these plans at any time.
