Brightline Therapy

Brightline Logo

Brightline currently provides virtual mental health therapy and coaching for children aged 18 months through 17 years and enrolled in a Princeton Medical plan. Regretfully, the firm has just announced that they are changing their service model and will no longer offer their services nationally.  Effective January 1, 2025, Brightline’s new focus will be on a hybrid in-person and virtual model that will be offered only in five states – New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Washington. In addition, Brightline will only offer clinical services, and will no longer offer coaching services in 2025.

If you have any questions about Brightline or require assistance with locating an in-network mental health provider, you may contact Aetna at (800) 535-6689 or UnitedHealthcare at (877) 609-2273. You may also contact the Benefits Team at (609) 258-3302 or [email protected].

Eligibility

If you reside outside of NJ, NY, CT, MA, and WA

  • Effective November 1, 2024, Brightline will no longer accept new patients for clinical or coaching services. You should contact Aetna or UnitedHealthcare for assistance in locating an in-network provider if you have a child that requires mental health support.
  • If your child is currently receiving mental health support or coaching from Brightline, the services will end on December 31, 2024. Brightline will focus on completing existing treatment or will work with you to ensure the safe transition of care. You may also contact Aetna or UnitedHealthcare for assistance in locating an in-network provider.

If you reside in NJ, NY, CT, MA, and WA

  • Brightline will continue to be available as an in-network virtual mental health provider for those enrolled in an Aetna medical plan (CDHP, PHP, HMO or J-1 Visa Plan), and Brightline is working on opening brick and mortar locations for in-person therapy beginning in mid-2025. At this time, we have been advised that UnitedHealthcare (UHC) is currently working with Brightline to have them continue as an in-network provider, but contract negotiations have not yet been finalized. Updated information will be provided on our website, and UHC members will receive further communication.
  • Brightline coaches will stop accepting new patients on 11/1/2024. If you are currently receiving coaching services, they will continue through the end of this year.
